Sorry it has been a while since I last posted. The final Code Club went really well and over the course of our initial coding term (6 weeks) we only last 1 pupil, which was in the final week due to illness.  I  cannot wait for September for the club to start a new term.

In the mean time I have been expanding and refreshing my knowledge during the “summer break” by taking some online courses in Powershell and Linux as I enjoy learning as much as I can about both. Part of the reason I enjoy Powershell is that I sometimes slip into writing Linux based commands in the Windows command shell; which means they don’t work. However, Powershell accepts Linux commands and Windows commands and can be installed on both operating systems.

Modern Windows (e.g. Windows 8 or Windows 10) comes with Powershell pre-installed and Linux installation instructions can be found here: https://www.howtogeek.com/267858/how-to-install-microsoft-powershell-on-linux-or-os-x/
